With over 20 years experience in global supply chain and demand management across international markets, Dawn brings a pragmatic and practical approach to organisational development.
At Oliver Wight, Dawn provides education and training to aide organisations
implementing Integrated Business Planning and Supply Chain Optimization
processes. As a consultant, Dawn has built years of experience advising on
transition services for acquisitions and divestments. Dawn believes effective
communication based on a culture of trust is the key to the success of any
organisation, and education and teamwork are essential to achieving this goal.
Prior to joining Oliver Wight, Dawn held the position of Supply Chain Manager at Flexsys, a multinational specialising in chemical production. Here, Dawn was responsible for planning five product groups across Europe and America. During Dawn’s decade-long career at Flexsys, she held a variety of roles including Supply Manager, Demand Manager and Global IT Manager. In these roles Dawn worked extensively in Europe, the Americas and Asia, gaining insight into cultural sensitivities and different approaches to business.
In 2001 Dawn worked with Oliver Wight on the Flexsys Global Class A project, initially developing the revised MRP system for the whole organisation. Dawn then moved on to process design, driven by a view that for Sales and Operations Planning to succeed the main functions of demand, supply, customer service and purchasing had to be thought of as a whole. Dawn is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt. She holds a degree in Business Administration from Wolverhampton University.
